Try a Bit at Home

Want to test a bit yourself at home, in your own environment? No problem – here’s how it works:

  • You purchase the bit and try it out.
  • If it doesn’t work for you and your horse, you can exchange it within two weeks.
  • Return it to us by post or bring it back in person. Price differences will be settled accordingly.
  • The new bit may also be tested again.

Please note:

  • Shipping and return costs are your responsibility.
  • Bits returned dirty, damaged, or chewed will not be accepted.
  • Normal signs of use from a short trial period (1–2 weeks) are fine.

This way, you can discover what truly suits your horse – without pressure.

After Multiple Exchanges

Still haven’t found the right bit after three exchanges?
Then we recommend scheduling a Bitfit Consultation. We’ll take a closer look at all the influencing factors – from your horse’s anatomy to the bridle and your riding style.

Prefer to keep testing bits yourself? That’s fine too. From the fourth exchange onward, we charge a €50 fee to cover the extra time and administrative work.

Bit & Bridle Testing at Events

We regularly attend events and will soon be hosting our own as well.
You’re always welcome to speak to us on the day – we’re happy to advise or answer questions.

  • Do we have the bit you want to try with us? Then you can test it for free at the event.
  • Is there a specific bit you’d like to test? Let us know at least one week in advance, and we’ll make sure to bring it along.

Want to take the bit home for a proper trial afterwards? Then our regular home trial conditions apply (see above).
