Looking for a new saddle?
During a saddle fitting, we assess your horse, you as a rider and how you move together as a combination. You can try different saddles while we determine which model and fit work best for both you and your horse.
For new saddles, we mainly work with Prestige Italia, offering a range of dressage and jumping saddles with various fitting and customisation options. From time to time, we also have a selection of pre-owned saddles from other brands, depending on availability.
Does your current saddle still fit?
A horse changes over time through training, muscle development, age and workload. This means that a saddle that once fitted well may not continue to fit correctly.
During a saddle fitting, we check your current saddle and assess its fit in relation to your horse, you as a rider and how you move together. Where possible, we can make adjustments to the saddle, depending on its brand, model and age.
Adjustments are not included in the consultation fee and will always be discussed beforehand. For saddles that were not purchased through Horse & Balance, we cannot guarantee that adjustments can be made. Any adjustments are carried out at the customer’s own risk.

Saddle consult
A saddle consultation includes either a check of your current saddle or the fitting and trial of a new saddle. The price excludes travel costs and any saddle adjustments.

Travel costs within the Netherlands:€0.28 per kilometre from 7165 AN. For locations more than 20 km from 7165 AN, an additional €30 per 30 minutes of travel time applies.
International fitting
Based outside the Netherlands? We also offer saddle fittings internationally upon request. Travel and accommodation costs apply, but can be shared when several riders book a fitting at the same location.
All prices include VAT. Consultation fees and any adjustments carried out on location are payable during the appointment by cash or card.
New saddle orders require a 50% down payment before production begins. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the saddle is delivered or collected. Each saddle is a made-to-measure product, produced specifically for the individual customer and horse.

Consultation fees, travel costs and any adjustments carried out on location are payable during the appointment by cash or card.
Cancellation
Cancellation
Cancellations within 48 hours are charged at 50%; within 24 hours at 100%.
The rider is responsible for ensuring the horse is fit for the consultation; if the consultation cannot be carried out upon arrival, the fee will be charged.
At temperatures above 30°C, Horse & Balance may move the appointment to an earlier or later time, or cancel it if no suitable air-conditioned indoor location is available.
